Kourosh Darvish
Welcome
I am a researcher working at the intersection of robotics, reinforcement learning & control theory, computer vision, and reasoning & planning. In particular, I am interested in the algorithmic development of shared and robust autonomy, where robots interact with humans. I have worked on a variety of robotic platforms including humanoids and bimanual manipulators.
Currently, I am a staff scientist and principal investigator at the AI and Automation Lab in Acceleration Consortium at University of Toronto. My goal is to develop and deploy autonomous robots in Self-Driving Labs running 24/7 to accelerate scientific discovery in materials science, chemistry, and biology. You can read more about this in a viewpoint article in Science Robotics.
